On November 30, 2018, the United States, Mexico and Canada signed the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), a modernization of NAFTA . The USMCA came into force on July 1, 2020.
The USMCA is referred to as the Canada-United-States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) in Canada and Tratado entre Mexico, Estados Unidos y Canada (T-MEC) in Mexico.
