Many U.S. government publications are available online. This guide contains links to major law-related publications as well as others.

U.S. government depository materials are available for public use during normal library hours. Documents users may find it most helpful to visit the library when assistance is available at the Reference Desk.

    Reference Desk Service Hours:
    Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. summer)
    Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
    Saturday - Sunday, 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (weekend hours fall and spring semesters only)

    Visiting the NYU Law library

    The New York University School of Law library is located in Vanderbilt Hall at 40 Washington Square South, Manhattan.


    Public access


    As a designated Federal Depository Library, the NYU School of Law Library provides free access to Federal Depository Library Program content, including online. Most of the print materials selected by the Law Library through the depository program relate to law. 

    For their own convenience, depository users may wish to contact the Library Services Office in advance of their visit.
