The NYU School of Law Library is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Public access to the government documents collection is guaranteed by public law. (Title 44 United States Code).

U.S. Depository Visitor Policy

Visitors to the Government Documents Collection (FDLP)

  • You may request an appointment by reaching out via email: lawlib-access@nyu.edu.
  • Appointments are generally available between 8AM and 3PM, Tuesday through Friday.
  • Please reach out to us to schedule an appointment at least 2 weeks in advance of your visit.
  • Please consult the library catalog to ensure that the documents you are interested in viewing are housed on-site in the Law Library.
  • Be sure to bring a valid government-issued photo ID on the day of your confirmed visit.

Access for members of the public are governed by NYU University policies.
