Bloomberg Terminal

A guide on how to use and access the Bloomberg Terminals at the NYU Law Library

Who is eligible?

NYU Law School faculty and students.

Non-NYU Law School faculty, students, and staff can use the Bloomberg Terminals available through NYU Libraries. More information on how to access them can be found on their Bloomberg guide

Alumni, visitors, guests, consortial borrowers (MaRLI, OCLC Shares, etc) are not eligible for access and are encouraged to visit New York Public Library's Bloomberg terminals.

My terminal account or password seems to have expired. How do I reset it?

Accounts that are unused for more than 90 days are deactivated. Bloomberg will send a reminder email near the deactivation day, prompting you to log in, and keep the account active.  If it is deactivated, you will be required to follow a series of prompts to reinstate your account.

Please call Bloomberg Customer Support if you need additional assistance: 212-318-2000.

Who do I contact for technical support?

For issues with the Bloomberg software, monitors, or keyboard:

After logging into the terminal, tap the "Help" (F1) key twice to bring up the interface, then click "Contact Help Desk" or "Live Help" to enter the email interface. Be sure to use your NYU email address. Support's response will be sent to your email (not to the terminal) typically within one business day.

For any other technical issues:

Contact NYU Law IT
