"Primary sources" are resources that are the law: statutes, constitutions, regulations, and case law. This section of the guide includes other sources like congressional documents and litigation documents under the umbrella of "primary sources." There are, of course, other kinds of similar sources you may be asked to locate not covered in this guide.
