Google Alerts and Google Scholar Alerts can alert users to new articles, working papers, books and more. Google Alerts can bring up new results based on your Google search terms and results options. Similarly, Google Scholar Alerts helps with seeing new results for scholarly journals and books.

After your search, select "show options" and select your choices. Input your email and click on the "Create Alert" button.

After your search, click on "Create alert" next to the envelope icon on the left side of the screen. You can refine your query and the relevancy of results before you click the "Create Alert" button.
Alternatively, you can create an alert from your Google Scholar menu under 'Alerts'.

Google Scholar Profiles

You may also choose to follow certain authors who have Google Scholar profiles. By clicking the blue 'Follow' button, this will alert you to any new articles, citations or related works for this author.
