Discovery: NYU Law Library's New Catalog Features

This guide is an introduction to NYU Law Library's new search interface, called "Discovery."

Saving your research progress in Discovery

One of the most useful enhancements to your research at NYU Law Library is the "My dashboard" interface in Discovery. You must log in to access your dashboard.

Once you are logged in, you can quickly and easily save search terms and links to resources, organizing them into discrete "Projects" to help you stay organized.

Following are a few screenshots of the dashboard's Overview, Projects, and Saved pages.

Saving and Sharing Links to Resources

When you have clicked through the "Welcome Guest" banner and signed in with your NYU NetID username + password, the "MyEBSCO" icon appears in the upper-right corner of webpage. From there, you can easily and quickly save or share links to resources you find. Click on the three dots in the resource record's right-hand side. This opens the "Tools" menu. From there, you can click "Share" or "Add to project"." You also have the option to download a citation to the resource, or create a permanent link to it.

Note: Saved items in your dashboard never expire. The maximum number of saved searches and records you can have at one time is 500.
